Backstory: I’d been having painful periods since 2020.. to where every month I’d have to call off work at least two days because the start of my flow was so heavy and painful..abdominal cramps and overwhelming fatigue would keep me in bed and missing out on life events. The pain felt like something blocking my flow.. something was in the way of having normal periods.
It wasn’t until I finally sought out my Gyno for an ultrasound that I found out I had uterine fibroids - one the size of my own uterus! Although there were a few surgical options.. the best option for me, a 36 y/o childless woman, was the Uterine Fibroid Embolization.
