¿Qué es la embolización de hemorroides?
Embolización de hemorroides: es un procedimiento de radiología intervencionista mínimamente invasivo, diseñado para proporcionar alivio a largo plazo del sangrado rectal causado por hemorroides internas. Las hemorroides se producen cuando se desarrollan conexiones anómalas entre las arterias y las venas del recto. El procedimiento se realiza mediante una pequeña punción en la ingle y la inserción de un catéter fino. Con guía radiográfica, el médico dirige el catéter hacia las arterias que suministran sangre a las hemorroides. Se liberan pequeñas espirales y/o microesferas que bloquean el flujo sanguíneo hacia la zona, lo que provoca que las hemorroides se reduzcan de tamaño y, finalmente, desaparezcan.

Método de tratamiento
¿Qué es la escleroterapia para las hemorroides? La escleroterapia es una opción de tratamiento no quirúrgico para las hemorroides externas. Durante este procedimiento, el médico inyecta una solución química especial en la base de la hemorroide. La solución hace que los vasos sanguíneos del interior de la hemorroide se contraigan y se coagulen, lo que reduce el tamaño de la hemorroide con el paso del tiempo. Como resultado, la hemorroide se vuelve más pequeña y menos perceptible. Este procedimiento es relativamente sencillo y mínimamente invasivo; a menudo se realiza en el consultorio médico y causa mínimas molestias. Aunque no requiere incisiones ni puntos de sutura, puede llevar algún tiempo apreciar los efectos completos, y es posible que se necesiten varias sesiones para los casos de hemorroides más graves.
